TANDOORI MURGH

  INGREDIENTS :
  • 1 chicken (approx 700 grams) jointed.

  • ½ cup thick curds.

  • 2 lemons.

  • 4 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste.

  • 1 teaspoon each coriander  and cumin powder.

  • 2 teaspoons vinegar.

  • Salt and red chilli powder to taste.

  • A large pinch red food colouring.

  • Some chat masala.

METHOD :

Mix the curds with the remaining ingredients except the chat masala. Use the juice of one of the lemons.

 

Make 2 deep gashes in each of the chicken and spear the marinade all over. Pour over the remaining and leave to sit overnight or for as long as possible.

To cook, preheat the grill for 10 minutes. Out the chicken on the high tray and at MW + Grill  (100%) cook 8 minutes or till browned to your preference.

Baste once with some melted butter, and turn pieces over. Lay a plate underneath to catch dripping juices.

Serve with the juice of the remaining lemon squeezed over and some masala over each piece.
