PIZZAS

INGREDIENTS:


2 burger buns (approx 3 1/2").
1 table spoon oil.
1 onion, chopped. Green chillies to taste, finely chopped.
4 garlic cloves, crushed and chopped.
1/2 teaspoon dried origano.
4 large tomatoes, chopped.
1 tablespoon tomato puree.
1 table spoon ketchup or tomato chilli sauce.
salt and pepper to taste.
6 tablespoons grated cheese.

 
OPTIONAL ADD-ONS:

Finely chopped capsicum, sliced mushrooms, olives, chopped chicken, ham, sausages, or bacon, chopped pineapple, crumbled cottage cheese.

METHOD:

1. Slid the buns in half horizontally.

2. Put the oil in the shallow microwave-safe dish and heat at 100% power for 2 minutes. Drop in onion, chillies and garlic, and continue to cook at the same level for 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes, oregano, puree, ketchup. Cook uncovered at 100 % power for 5 minutes stirring once. Add salt and pepper.

3. Put some tomato mixture on each bun, sprinkle over the preffered add-ons and the grated cheese.

4. Preheat the oven at MW + Grill (100% + Grill). Put the Crusty plate in for 3-4 minutes. Lay the buns on it on the high rack and continue to cook till the cheese is melted and browned to your satisfaction - 5-7 minutes. If your oven does not have this facility, lay the buns on an ordinary microwave safe-plate and cook at 100% power for  4 minutes. You may like to toast the buns lightly before spreading with the tomato mixture.
