PANEER SHASLIK :

INGREDIENTS :

250 grams cottage cheese, cut into thick cubes.
2 capsicums, cut into large pieces.
1 dozen small onions or 3 onions, quartered.
1 cup thick curds.
3 cloves garlic, crushed.
4-5 mint leaves, chopped.
3/4 teaspoon ajwain.
1/2 teaspoon garam masala.
2 teaspoons mango powder (amchur).
red chilli and salt to taste.
juice of 1 lemon.
chaat masala optional.

METHOD :

1. Hang the curds up in a muslin cloth or plastic strainer with the garlic and mint for at least 1 hour or till the whey has all dripped out. MIx with the rest of the spices. Marinate the cheese cubes in the mixture for atleast 2-3 hours.

2. Skewer the cheese, capsicum and onions. Alternately, lay them on the high tray. Preheat the MW + Grill for 10 minutes. Microwave at 100% power for 2 minutes, then grill for 6 minutes or till done to your satisfaction. Lay a plate underneath to catch the drippings. If you do not have the grill facility, lay the cheese and the vegetables on a plate. Microwave at 100% power for 3 minutes on each side.

3. Serve garnished with the lemon juice and chaat masala.
